Welcome to Welthungerhilfe India & Bangladesh

Welthungerhilfe is one of the biggest non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan organizations in Germany. It provides aid from a single source: from fast disaster relief and reconstruction to long-term development cooperation projects with local partner organisations, according to the principle of help for self-help.

Since its foundation in 1962, more than 7,733 projects in 70 countries have been supported with 2.84 billion Euro – for a world without hunger and poverty.

Over the past 53 years Welthungerhilfe has supported around 1500 rural development projects in South Asia through local partner organisations who work with the most vulnerable and marginalised people.

Our country office is located in New Delhi, with project offices in Kolkata, Ranchi, and Bhopal as well as in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
