Welcome to Welthungerhilfe India & Bangladesh
Welthungerhilfe is one of the biggest non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan organizations in Germany. It provides aid from a single source: from fast disaster relief and reconstruction to long-term development cooperation projects with local partner organisations, according to the principle of help for self-help.
Since its foundation in 1962, more than 9,830 projects in 70 countries have been supported with 3.95 billion Euros – for a world without hunger and poverty.
Over the past years, Welthungerhilfe has supported around 1500 rural development projects in South Asia through local partner organisations.
Our country office is based in New Delhi and our project offices are located in Kolkata, Ranchi, Bhopal, Bengaluru as well as in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
